BBC Ministries

Deacon Ministry

The Deacon Ministry is comprised of members selected by the pastor and set apart for the purpose of assisting the pastor in his work, visiting members, caring for the sick, needy, distressed and shut-in members of the church. Deacons also assist in administering the Lord's Supper.
Meetings: The first Saturday of each month at 9:00 a.m.

Deaconess Ministry

The Deaconess Ministry is in charge of the preparation of the pulpit for the Lord's Supper and assist the pastor and deacons in the preparation and administration of the Lord's Supper. They assist in the spiritual development of the membership, visit the sick and shut-ins, and assist candidates for baptism.
Meetings: The first Saturday of each month at 9:00 a.m.

Trustee Ministry

The Trustee Ministry is responsible for the financial and physical care of the church. This ministry takes necessary measures for the management and maintenance of church property.
Meetings: The third Saturday of each month at 10:00 a.m.

Sunday School

The Sunday School is the teaching arm of the church. It is divided into various classes for all age groups, children through adults, to study God's Word. The C.R.O.S.S. Ministry (Christians Relying On Sunday School) plans events and suggests activities to keep the learning fresh and vibrant. Watch the bulletin for special events.
Class Time: Every Sunday Morning at 8:15 a.m.

Children's Church

The Children's Church provides a meaningful worship experience during the morning worship service on the first, third and fourth Sundays each month. Children’s Church is for youth age ten and under and is geared to their developmental level.

Missionaries Ministry

The Missionaries keep alive the spirit of missions by their benevolent acts. They support home and foreign missions through local, state and national activities.
Meetings: The 2nd Saturday of each month at 1:00 p.m.

Pastor's Aide

The Pastor's Aide tends to the personal needs of the pastor and his family.
Meetings: The first Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m.

Music Ministry

The ministry of music is vital to the church. Through singing of hymns and other musical selections, they set the spiritual tone of the service which helps prepare the hearts and minds of the congregation for worship and to receive the Word of God.

Praise & Worship Team

The Praise & Worship Team begins each service with song to usher in praises to God and focus our hearts and minds on worship.

Mass Choir

The Mass choir sings a variety of music from hymns to contemporary Gospel. This choir sings on the first, third, fourth and fifth Sunday each month. This choir also accompanies the pastor when he preaches at sister churches.
Rehearsals - Every Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. (except the Saturday before the second Sunday)

Youth Choir

The Youth Choir promotes the spiritual growth and development of our young people by keeping them positively involved in worship. This choir is open to all youth of the church ages four and older. They sing on the second Sunday each month.
Rehearsals: Saturday before the second Sunday at 10:00 a.m.

Ushers Ministry

The Ushers greet people as they enter and leave the church, seat people, and provide bulletins and other materials. They are attentive to the needs of the congregation and the pastor.

Senior Usher Ministry

The Senior Usher Ministry is made up of adult members of the church. They serve on the first, second, and fourth Sundays.
Meetings: The second Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m.

Junior Usher Ministry

The Junior Usher Ministry is made up of youth members of the church. They serve on the third and fifth Sundays of the month.
Meetings: The Saturday before the 3rd Sunday each month at 9:00 a.m.

Hospitality Ministry

The Hospitality Ministry strives to make each visitor and member feel welcome within the church. This Ministry also sends cards to the sick, shut-in and bereaved families of the church.
Meetings: Times vary. Consult the bulletin for meeting dates and times.

Youth Ministry

The Youth Ministry is open to all youth of the church. It trains the youth in various aspects of the church and its ministries, and provides recreational activities for the youth.

Youth Ministry

This decision-making group for the youth ministry is comprised of youth in grades four and above. The ministry makes up the yearly schedule of events for all youth of the church, plans and carries out the order of service on the second Sunday of each month and engages in various forms of Bible Study.

James Norrell Scholarship Ministry

The Scholarship Ministry provides financial assistance to Bethlehem youth who are pursuing higher education.

The Angels of Praise Dance Ministry

The Angels of Praise Dance Ministryis open to all youth of the church. They convey the message of the Gospel through dance and mime.
Rehearsals: Every Friday at 7:00 p.m.

Women's Ministry

The Women's Ministry provides an opportunity for women of the congregation to strengthen their involvement in the church and community. It provides opportunities for fellowship and the study of God’s Work on topics pertaining to women.
Meetings: The second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m.

Nurse's Ministry

The Nurses Ministry attends to the health needs of the congregation. Confidential records are kept for each member regarding health care needs.
Meetings: The first Saturday each month at 9:00 a.m.

Overcomers Ministry

The Overcomers Ministry is dedicated to helping individuals battling various addictions. It is our belief that addictions can be overcome through Biblical solutions, a systematic approach to recovery, and the power of Jesus Christ.
Meetings: Every 1st and 3rd Monday at 7:00 p.m.

Security Ministry

The Security Ministry seeks to provide a safe and secure environment for all members and visitors or our church to worship God.

The Chronicle Project

The Chronicle Project seeks to build, expand and upkeep the church edifice as we seek to build the lives of our members, the Church, the community of York and abroad through targeted church services, community services and facility availability. This project, formerly known as the Building Fund, is funded through pledge contributions from church members and those solicited from business and other community members.
